Description
A heavy kite shield engraved with the three pillars of Vindictus doctrine:
- Light — a sunburst, radiating from the shield's crown
- Justice — a set of balanced scales, centered
- Vengeance — a flaming sword, at the base
The engraving is deep and deliberate — not field decoration, but an intentional theological statement. This shield was made to be read as much as used. The metalwork is quality, the edges worn from genuine combat, but the face has been kept clean and polished.
Doubles as a portable shrine. The shield can be set upright on its pommel spike, face outward, to serve as a field altar. Standard practice for KoV paladins on extended deployments: no chapel, no problem. The three pillars face the faithful; prayers go to Tyr, to Zariel, or to Ser Vindictus depending on the individual knight.

- Found among the personal effects in the Knights of Vindictus camp on Level 1 of the Tomb of Orcus.
- Propped apart from the combat gear — not stored in the weapons pile but set aside, suggesting it was being used as a shrine at the camp before the chapter turned.
- No enchantment detected. Its value is devotional and practical — good shield, heavy, with a name that the order gives to its chapter-marks.
