Description
A Human guest at the Toke Inn when the party arrived. Initially read as just another lodger, Talon turns out to be guarding the bronze egg the party recovers in session 002 — on behalf of the Heiress of Orcus cult, in preparation for an auction.
What the Party Knows
- Session 001: Present at the inn. Unremarked-on. Watching.
- Session 002: Caught at the well, trying to bribe the party away from the egg (escalating from 100 GP/each to 500 GP/each). Ubys casts Command: SLEEP on him; Lessie carries his unconscious body back to the inn.
- Session 003: Hidden a letter under his bed in demonic Barozod script. The party recovers it after fighting off the minotaur sent for the egg. Ubys casts Comprehend Languages and is briefly driven mad reading it. The letter establishes the egg was meant for an upcoming auction run by the Heiress of Orcus cult — formerly aligned with Zariel.
- Session 005: Travels with the party on the way to investigate the minotaur's tracks (heading to Lodestone).
- Session 006: Vanishes during the party's escape from the Lodestone barn-temple. The party realizes mid-flight: "Hey, where's Talon?" — and decides not to turn back.
