Description
A khopesh — the curved, sickle-bladed sword of Ubys's Shadar-Kai heritage. The blade is consecrated to the Raven Queen; it functions as the instrument of her justice when Ubys acts in her name.
What the Party Knows
- Ubys's primary melee weapon. A khopesh carried since before the campaign's start.
- Raven Queen–consecrated. Any blood drawn by Voidfang marks the soul for retrieval by the Raven Queen's agents in Letherna. The soul does not simply pass on; it is flagged, findable, held for the Queen's purposes. The mark triggers on any blood drawn — executions and nicks alike.
- Used on Echelon. In Session 037, Ubys executed the restrained Shadovar cell leader Echelon with Voidfang after the Battle of the Nave. Echelon's soul is now marked in Letherna.
- Also used in Session 031 — Ubys struck a Giant Rat for 3 damage and followed with Spiritual Weapon, killing the target.
Mechanical Notes
- Weapon type: khopesh (re-skinned scimitar or shortsword; Greg to confirm exact stat block)
- The soul-marking mechanic appears to activate when Ubys deliberately executes a target in the Raven Queen's name — not on every kill
- No other enchantment properties documented on-screen; the soul-mark may be its primary magical function
