What the Party Knows (Session 034)

  • Spoke at length with KeYs at the back of the auction floor while the Heiress / Sir Gertz bidding was running. Initially declined to give a name; eventually offered "You can call me Greyden." (Per the transcript, AC's player and KeYs's player landed on the spelling g-r-e-y-d-e-n — half-blading, half-greying, in keeping with the Shadowvar / Grey aesthetic.)
  • Identified the Heiress's medalliona Knock-class key. He hypothesized it was "the key to the bindings of Blight" — and per the Knights of Vindictus's long-standing thesis, those are the bindings holding Ser Vindictus in the Tomb of Orcus. "Maybe she is wearing the key. And maybe that is why she wants the directions to the Tomb so badly."
  • Volunteered the Bedegar Keep prompt. Pressed on what the Shadowvar wanted to know, he offered: "How a whole culture, a whole world, was destroyed — and not one of its souls passed through your mistress." He named the realm: Bedegar Keep / the Fortress of Memories. Blighted in its last days. Gone now. Open standing offer: very-high-sum payment for an answer to that question.
  • Cautious / mercantile posture throughout. "We don't seem to have a vested interest in one another;" "information that most people offer are usually [trivial] — but there are infinite planes — the knowledge that you seek to control is quite endless." He was sounding KeYs out; she was sounding him back.
