What the Party Knows

• An altar of beast bones, fresh blood upon it, sigils carved or painted around it. (The blood is fresh — there is an active rotation of operators here.)
• Two Ogres were painting glyphs on their helmets when the party arrived — the next batch of channelers, prepping to take their station upstairs at the spire (or to channel the lower portion of the spire from this chamber).
• The Ogres greeted Lessie specifically as "the sacrifice" (in Giant). (See DM Notes — this was expectation, not improvisation.)
• The Primeval Tablet sat on or near the altar — recovered as loot.
• After the combat, the helmet-glyphs went dull, matching the wall-glyph behavior in the chamber above.
