What the Party Knows
- She is the princess of her forest tribe. Her people — a wood elf forest community — survived the World Eater's emergence in part because of the protective bubbles Leigha created. Shaylin has been one of the primary organizers of the forest camp and the main escort for Nimri Greyflame on his scribing runs to the chapel.
- She was a Blight patient. In the prior Brookside campaign, Shaylin's village was afflicted with the Blight; the prior party (Crowley's group) was in the process of helping her when the World Eater emerged. She appears healthy now — whether the Blight was cured, went dormant, or is suppressed by the bubble magic is unresolved.
- She has a bow and uses it. When the party arrived at the chapel, she came out of hiding with her bow drawn and a warning on her lips. She's been surviving in gnoll-patrolled territory for years. She is careful, fast, and not interested in being surprised.
- She had complicated feelings about Crowley. Her words on seeing him: "Some say you were responsible for this." She let him in anyway. She leads with mission over grievance, but the grievance is there.
- She is one of the best scouts available. Nimri Greyflame relies on her entirely for the chapel runs. She has memorized the gnoll patrol patterns around the forest.
- She scouted the Bear Cave. Before Session 050's combat, Shaylin had already reconnoitered the cave and reported back to the camp.
