Cult of the Dragon

What the Party Knows
- Three decades before the campaign's present day, the Cult of the Dragon raised vast armies and looted the Sword Coast attempting to summon Takhisis / Tiamat. The great heroes of that age (the Heroes of the Lance) fought them back. Their defeat is the campaign's historical backdrop — the Second War of the Lance.
- Leilon chapter (historical). Capt. Tisdale of the Knights of Vindictus confirmed to the party (during the Tomb of Orcus briefing) that a historical Cult of the Dragon cell operated in Leilon.
- Possible resurgent activity. KeYs, Moist, and Falkor observed a procession of ~40–50 pilgrims on the High Road under a white-field, black-serpent-or-dragon banner. The pilgrims bowed as Falkor passed overhead. This may indicate the Cult of the Reborn Bahamut (strongest fit), a Cult of the Dragon revival, or an unrelated order. Not yet identified.
