Cult of the Reborn Bahamut
Working title. The name is Sir Titus's framing — "the rumor is the rebirth of the lost god Bahamut" — not the cult's self-given name. Greg, replace when canonical.
Type: Folk-religious movement — roadside pilgrim-cult on the Sword Coast; currently a bowing crowd, not yet a named order; possibly a Cult of the Dragon re-coloring (see DM Notes) Region: Sighted on the High Road between Neverwinter and Leilon at dawn of November 22nd — en route presumably toward Leilon's pillar-of-light at the KoV tower (per the speculation in session 035) Status (latest): Active, on the move. ~40-50 walkers under a white-field banner with a black silhouette of a serpent or dragon, bowing and cheering as Falkor flew overhead. First Sighting: Session 035
What the Party Knows
- KeYs and Falkor flew over the procession at dawn of November 22nd, en route to Leilon with the bound Mythrades under Falkor's belly.
- The procession is ~40-50 pilgrims (KeYs's count from altitude — approximate). They walk in a long thin line, in plain clothes, carrying banners — white field, black silhouette of a serpent or a dragon.
- They look up. They cheer. They bow down on the road as Falkor passes overhead. In reverence.
- The party's out-of-character reading, on the spot: Cult of the Dragon revival (post-Second War of the Lance survivors) or a new Cult of the Reborn Bahamut (taking Falkor as their visible icon).
- Sir Titus confirms the rumor exists — "There are many rumors that this is the prodigy or the rebirth of the lost god Bahamut." He does not confirm a named cult, but the rumor's existence is on-record.
