Egg of a Dragon God
Type: Artifact-tier dragon egg — a Bahamut egg per The Engineer's session-034 line (see DM Notes — strongly fitted, not yet locked-in by Greg) Status (latest): The egg no longer exists as a physical object. Falkor IS the Egg of a Dragon God — he hatched from it. KeYs retrieved the egg from the Toke Inn well in Session 002; it hatched into Falkor in Session 006. The lot was withdrawn from the Session 034 auction because the egg was already gone, having hatched. All godspark significance, faction interest, and cosmological weight associated with this egg now applies directly to Falkor himself. First Reference: Session 024 (auction-invitation lot list) First On-Screen-Adjacent: Session 034 (via the Engineer's "godspark of the egg" attribution)
See Falkor for the living continuation of this entry. Any vault reference to "KeYs holds the Egg" means Falkor is her dragon. KeYs is his Dragon Knight.
What the Party Knows
- Listed on the auction invitation the Mephisto Twins showed the party in session 024.
- No descriptive details given by the player notes — only the lot title.
- Session 034 confirmation chain:
- The egg did not arrive at the auction. KeYs and Falkor have it (per the session-034 context — KeYs's "secret plan" for the auction was her own; the eggshell was partially-disintegrated in birthing Falkor and could not be substituted with a fake).
- The Shadowvar were after the egg as their primary target — that was the main reason they hosted the auction. When the egg did not appear, they pivoted to bidding on the Whispering Reed.
- The Engineer's line: "We're missing the godspark of the egg. But we have a godspark — around his neck." This identifies the egg's contents as containing (or being associated with) a godspark — and the most-fitted godspark identity is Bahamut's, per the auction-floor framing about needing the godspark to slay Tahkisis.
- The full chain (per the auction-floor speculation): whoever obtains the egg's godspark could unlock Tahkisis' Kiss (the God-Killer dagger) and slay Tahkisis — the campaign-level Bahamut-slaying-revenge arc. The Heiress wanted the egg for that exact purpose.
