What the Party Knows

  • The scribe is the records-keeper of the Knights of Vindictus' Leilon chapter — pays standing rewards (the 1,000 GP for the Nathaniel bounty / the silver-mine rescue / etc.), keeps the order's journals, and serves as the information node for the chapter.
  • Per session 026: the scribe was responsible for the summoning of Mazros the Cursed Baron — confirmed by Sir Titus ("the Scribe was responsible for what happened here").
  • The scribe's body is found eviscerated, hanging from a timber outside the towerkilled by Mazros, or by Sir Titus stopping him, or by his own ritual gone wrong. (Greg, fill in if you know.)
  • The scribe's personal journal, found by Ubys in the tower in session 026:
    • Starts as standard KoV journal.
    • More writing in the margins as the entries progress.
    • Marginalia gets profane, darker.
    • Eventually: the marginalia becomes a primer on "How to Summon Devils." Deals. Contracts.
  • Per session 027: Reading further into the KoV chapter's journals on the tower's second floor, AC confirms Ralph was the first to fallMizora reached him first, and then he polluted the order. His personal journal reads as the doctrinal source of the corruption that later spread through Capt. Tisdale and others. He was the priest of the wrong god in the order's robe.
