Crowley
Crowley is AC. This stub records the identity reveal and the pre-campaign back-history surfaced in session 034; mechanics, party-side detail, and current adventuring trajectory live on the Party Roster under AC. AC is the table-shorthand the player still prefers; Crowley is the in-fiction name the campaign now knows him by.

Description
The party member they have known as AC — (scout, blacksmith, demon-killer; sigil-marker; the Hell-Fork wielder) — is in fact a man named Crowley Bakerson of the village of Bakersfield / Brookside. He has been here from the start. He does not always answer to Crowley. He still goes by AC.
He wears, as a holy symbol, his sister's (soul / Godspark; see DM Notes) — a fact only The Engineer saw clearly enough to name aloud.
Alignment: Anti-hero / Antivillain (Lawful / Neutral Evil). Driving factors: Power, Family, protecting those close to him. The ends justify the means; kill or be killed when force is required; willing to lie, steal, and cheat. Maintains a "list" of those who cross him — but tries every other method before resorting to violence.
Backstory (Pre-Campaign)
Crowley grew up as Crowley Bakerson of Brookside/Bakersfield after its destruction. He and the survivors — Auryn Twinspeaker, Emmyth, Theretos Dakstaff, Sjosh Huckler, and his sister Leigha Bakerson — formed a makeshift family, fighting to survive on the streets.
Worshipping a Death deity he believed saved him from the destruction, he fought for power. In doing so, he unknowingly triggered the Prophecy of the Red Moon. The survivors continued adventuring; eventually Crowley began receiving visions from his deity — visions of greater and greater nothingness, universal death, cold void. He came to understand he had caused this by fulfilling the prophecy.
Terrified and alone, he fled and found an ancient library with scrolls depicting the End and the mechanisms to prevent the spread of the Nothing (the Blight). An entity there offered him a path: collect water and silt from a river with mystical powers to help stop it. At the River Styx, he swam to the bottom and collected the silt — not realising the river was sapping his memories. He emerged on the shore able to recall only glimpses of his past, and was reborn as A.C. He headed off in search of Anubis.
What the Party Knows (Sessions 034+)
- The Reveal (session 034 — at the Heiress's manor, mid-auction-aftermath): The Engineer, mid-confrontation over a fake map AC had drawn for the Heiress, looked up, named him: "You're that well-boy from that little village. Crowley. Bakersfield. You'd know better than me." When the name was said, all of AC's childhood came back to him.
- The Engineer's recognition extended to the holy symbol: "We're missing the godspark of the egg. But we have a godspark — around his neck." *(This identifies the symbol around AC's neck as a godspark / soul-bound object, and per Greg-confirmed lore on the Campaign Overview: Crowley wears his sister's soul.)*
- The Engineer is the same man as a figure from Crowley's childhood — the Anthropologist Mithradies who once moved through the Caves of Chaos and placed marks on the village children, including Crowley and his friends. (See The Engineer for the long-arc reframe.)
- The party absorbs the reveal during initiative. AC's player asks at the table to keep being called AC for note-keeping; in-fiction, Crowley is now what the other PCs use when the moment matters.
- AC's older Mizora-contract arc is now downstream of the Crowley-history reveal. Per the Campaign Overview: AC has fulfilled his contract from Mizora and possesses a Godspark; AC has recovered his sister's holy symbol. The symbol around his neck is that recovered holy symbol — retrocausally now placed in the campaign's history.
